BENGAL ROACH SPRAY FAQ'S
Q: "I sprayed it on a roach, why didn't it kill the bug
instantly?"
A: Most of the instant knockdown that was seen in roach sprays
in the past was due to the strong solvents in those products. Those solvents
are now banned either due to potential ozone depletion or toxicity reasons.
Some sprays on the market have a very oily carrier that can knock down
(but not kill) roaches in 20 seconds but these same sprays do not penetrate
into walls, cracks, crevices, and other hidden areas, and will leave hundreds
or thousands of living, breeding roaches in your house. Bengal
Roach Spray is the only product on the market that will penetrate deep
into walls to flush out and kill all your roaches.
Q: "Why did the roaches come back?"
A: Bengal Roach Spray does not leave a lingering residue;
it degrades over a few days or weeks and is no longer available to kill
roaches. If your neighbors have roaches or they are brought back in to
your house in boxes, sacks, old clothing or other infested materials, re-application
will be necessary. If you need extended control of roach populations, Bengal GoldŽ Roach
Spray contains Nylar, an insect growth regulator which provides up to 6 months of prevention
and control!
Q: "Are roaches immune to it?"
A: Although we have documented a growing immunity of roaches
to certain pesticides, Bengal Roach Sprays contain a high percentage of
active ingredients and at those levels, it is unlikely that pesticide immunity
is a factor in your roach control problems. Additionally, Bengal GoldŽ Roach Spray
contains an insect growth regulator which is effective against resistant or pyrethroid-tolerant roach species.
BENGAL NON-FLAMMABLE DRY FOGGER FAQ'S
Q: Many fogger products say nothing on their labels about being flammable.
How is this product different?
A: The regulation that governs the "Flammable" warning
on aerosol products is deceptive in its wording. It is based on flame extension,
which is a measurement of the length of the flame produced when the spray
is passed over a candle that is 6" from the button. Products that
have flames of less than 18" do not have to be labeled as flammable!
So you could have a product that produces a 17" flame when is contacts
an ignition source, but not have to label it as flammable. Also, these
products have a flammable propellant that can collect in an enclosed space
and form an explosive gas mixture with as little as 2% content of the aerosol
gases! Even the water-based foggers contain flammable propellants. Bengal Non-flammable
Dry Fogger is the only totally non-flammable bug fogger on the market, which provides an additional margin of safety when released into your home, storage room or areas where pilot lights or other ignitions sources may be present.
BENGAL FLEA & TICK FAQs
Q: "I sprayed, why do I still have fleas?"
A: Fleas can only be controlled by treating all areas of infestation:
the pet, the house and the yard. Also, fleas have a life cycle of 3 weeks
or more and you may have a resurgence of adult fleas after the effects
of the pesticide have subsided. Repeated applications are often necessary
as flea eggs and larvae mature and become adults.
Bengal Full Season Flea Killer Plus has a flea growth regulator that can break
this life cycle and kill flea eggs and larvae. Adult fleas that are reintroduced
into your house will still have to be sprayed to be killed, even though
the IGR will prevent them from breeding for up to 7 months.
